Hello, I'm Catalina
I'm a psychologist and creative arts therapist offering online therapy in English and Spanish, from Melbourne, where I now live, to wherever you are in the world. For NDIS clients in Melbourne, I also offer in-home sessions in collaboration with a registered NDIS provider.
Originally from Colombia, I completed my Bachelor of Psychology at UPB University in Medellín before moving to Australia, where I deepened my practice with a Master of Creative Arts Therapy at the University of Melbourne, specialising in Dance and Movement Therapy. I graduated with First Class Honours. I am a registered Art therapist and Counsellor with ANZACATA and PACFA.
With over six years of experience, I've had the privilege of working across schools, day programs, kindergartens, and aged care settings, accompanying people through the many journeys life brings.

My approach
My approach is integrative. I draw from various therapeutic perspectives and adapt to your pace, tailoring each session to your specific needs. I listen to you with curiosity and compassion.
In a session, you can expect curiosity, warmth, and support. Therapy doesn't always have to feel burdensome. Sometimes, the most significant discoveries come through awareness and creativity.
Who I work with
I offer:
-
Talk therapy for adults, for those seeking a space to learn about their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors, or who are going through difficult times and need support.
-
Creative arts therapy for children and adults, for those who want to explore themselves in a more creative, bodily and exploratory way.
-
I enjoy supporting people navigating migration, identity issues, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and relationship challenges. If you're unsure where to begin, we can have an initial consultation to ensure the sessions are tailored to your needs.
My why
I deeply believe in the power of therapy. Life is full of challenging moments, and we don't have to go through them alone. There are tools, practices, and conversations that help us build a kinder relationship with ourselves, and that, for me, is what allows us to have a peaceful and happy life.
When we discover who we truly are, something changes. There's a special magic in being able to live from a place of awareness and inner light. You are never alone on this path, and you never have to be.

Beyond therapy
I've been dancing since I was a child, and movement remains one of the deepest threads in my life. I'm also a certified yoga teacher (200 hours), and when I'm not teaching, you'll find me on my mat, planning my next adventure or exploring. Traveling is my greatest passion. There's nothing like spending time in nature, by the sea, or observing animals in their natural habitat to remind me how alive everything is. I also volunteer and work with Artists For Kids Culture (AKC), where I'm on the committee and strive to make art accessible as a form of expression for all children.
I speak Spanish, English, and German.
